This week, we will be working on adding and subtracting in word problems and estimating our answers. Students will also work on rounding numbers whole digit numbers to any place. We are continuing to learn about multi-digit whole numbers, that a digit in any one place represents ten times what it represents in the place to its right, read and write numbers to the millions in standard, word, and expanded form, compare two numbers using < and >, and fluently add and subtract multi-digit numbers using the standard algorithm. We will have our test the week of February 4th.

Students will be unable to go on iReady this week. Thanks so much. Multiplication- Students should continue to practice flashcards each night for a few minutes. Have him or her work on memorizing the facts for the level he or she is currently on in class (Example: their 3’s would be (1 x 3, 2x3, 3x3, 4x3, 5x3, 6x3, 7x3, 8x3, 9x3, 10x3, 11x3, 12x3)).
