Math: This week, students will finish taking the Unit 4 math test and begin Unit 5. During this unit of study, students will learn the importance of partitioning shapes into equal parts. They will also learn to understand a fraction as a number on the number line. Students will learn how to identify equivalent fractions and compare fractions. They will also learn how to express whole numbers as fractions (ex. 3 = 3/1).

Math: This week, students will be reviewing finding area and perimeter, geometric figures and their attributes, learning how to partition shapes into equal parts, and working on bar graphs, picture graphs, and line plots. Students will be reviewing for and taking the unit 4 assessment on Friday. Students will be encouraged to take home and review their interactive notebooks each night this week.
