Math: Students are continuing to work on identifying the attributes of polygons and quadrilaterals and looking for real-world examples of these figures in their daily lives. These attributes include number and type of angles, number of sides or edges, and the kind of lines they have such as parallel, intersecting, or perpendicular. They will learn the names of many quadrilaterals.
Multiplication: Students are expected to study their multiplication facts each night, focusing on one multiplication table at a time. Please work on multiplication flashcards each night and one table at a time. It is my desire that all students be fluent in their multiplication facts by Winter Break. The multiplication padlet can also help students in memorizing their times tables: https://padlet.com/watkinskr1/mult We will be having a quiz the week of September 10-14 and an end-of-unit assessment the week of September 17-21.
