We completed Unit 3 last week and will begin Unit 4 this week. If you would like to see what your child will be studying this unit, please see the link below. This week, we will review geometric shapes and discuss how some shapes share attributes. These attributes can be defined by a larger category (all 4 sided shapes are quadrilaterals). They will compare the shapes' similarities and differences. We will also continue splitting shapes into equal parts and finding fractions to represent those parts.
If you would like to help your child study, please see the letter below for sample problems we are working on during Grade 4 Unit 4. https://www.georgiastandards.org/Georgia-Standards/Frameworks/Unit-4-3rd-grade-parent-letter.pdf Homework- There will not be any homework this week. Multiplication- Students should continue to practice flashcards each night for a few minutes. Have him or her work on memorizing the facts for the level he or she is currently on in class (Example: their 3’s would be (1 x 3, 2x3, 3x3, 4x3, 5x3, 6x3, 7x3, 8x3, 9x3, 10x3, 11x3, 12x3)).
