This week, we will continue to learn about finding equivalent fractions, comparing fractions and common denominators. My intention was to have our math test last week, but after seeing students needed more time on this unit I decided to push the test back. We will have our test on Thursday, May 9th.
If you would like to help your child study, please see the letter below for sample problems we are working on during Grade 4 Unit 3. https://www.georgiastandards.org/Georgia-Standards/Frameworks/Unit-3-4th-grade-parent-letter.pdf Homework- We will not have any homework this week due to students reaching our goals last week. If you would like to help your child study, please see the parent letter above for sample problems. Students are doing great with comparing fractions but are continuing to work on finding common denominators. Multiplication- Students should continue to practice flashcards each night for a few minutes. Have him or her work on memorizing the facts for the level he or she is currently on in class (Example: their 3’s would be (1 x 3, 2x3, 3x3, 4x3, 5x3, 6x3, 7x3, 8x3, 9x3, 10x3, 11x3, 12x3)). Here is the padlet that contains multiplication tests to practice with. https://padlet.com/watkinskr1/mult Comments are closed.
